Thoughts

I live next door to a wonderful brilliant woman. She has intelligent talk and is really a very dependable neighbor. But am always having more than one a many thoughts about her.
See she is unique, she is an albino and we all know how it is being one of a kind. The stares, the stares and more stares, everyday everywhere. Good thing Liza is a positive woman with a good job and she is a strong lady.

Talking of uniqueness, on the road to work; you know in this Ntinda-Wandegeya traffic Jam you can do just about anything you want. Yeah that's when my Sister applies make up.
On the road to work, I read about a Lesbian who had been  allegedly evicted from some Rented House, the Landlord quoting the new signed  bill gave her till March 20th to leave, peacefully. True or not, it got me thinking what if the Lady evicted was just Tomboyish and not a Lesbian. Unfair it would be, isn't it? Or What if the Lady was hardcore and a bad influence to the immediate society. I mean a Landlord has the liberty to evict anyone over irresponsible behavior.
See it has become a trend in western media to report every person lynched in Uganda as Gay, every incident with unfair treatment as gay related.

I first came to know of anything gay related in high school, Form Two to be precise when a Student leader was expelled. Never in my life had I thought of Homosexuality being practiced anywhere in the world. Thought it was just a bible story. And BBC World Service never never used to report  about anything like  that (on the daily) and I have been loyal listener since childhood.
The Expulsion of this leader opened my eyes, innocent young boys were being lured into the act by rich kids from certain City Schools. It was rumored they had some serious funding, who wouldn't want to go for such opportunities. Those with frail souls sold them. But they never seized to be our friends. We still talked to them, played with them like it was normal but with caution. See Ugandans are Homo-phobic and conservative, and that's their nature that will never change. The Catholics have the same meal prayer, it has been the same for the 20 years I have been alive and i believe to my dad for 70 years.

So how about our Gay friends? yeah, we still have them as friends but we never for once accepted their sexuality and they know that. We tease them, laugh about it and move on. HOMOSEXUALS CAN BE UGANDANS BUT NOT HOMOSEXUALITY....
